The magic within...

Image
I had an urgent need, before. I needed to be allowed access... ...access to the magic portal. I meowed at my hooman. I looked up at him. I scratched at the portal door. I needed to see, sniff, and paw the crinkly things within...and to hide in the dark. I yelled at my hooman. He let me in. It was amazing. It was everything I dreamed it would be. Then I got bored. So I jumped out, went to my tray, and pooped.

Sunday flomp

Image
It is Sunday. I has a lazy. Especially ahead of a busy week coming up. I has much napping and sniffing to do. That's why it's important that I get my rest in. That's why I has decided to have a Sunday flomp, on the big, long, soft chair. The added benefits of flomps is that they allow my hooman to stroke my chin and my belly. This is good. I shall flomp for the rest of the evening now.

Just resting, before...

I has to get my rest in. It's important. Right now I'm getting a rest in to conserve my energy. Why? Because I plan to have the zoomies between 18:06 - 18:09. It's very important that I'm prepared fo this. So, at the moment, I'm resting. Of course, resting may turn into napping. But I won't miss my 18:06 slot — I'll be ready for it.

Cuddle time...then...

Sometimes a cat just feels like snuggling up with their hooman. Hoomans are made of warms. This happens as and when we feel like it — not all the time. Our hooman should feel privileged when we choose to snuggle with them. Last night, I left the window sill I was napping on, and, after a biiiiiiiiig stretch, I wandered over to my hooman, who was sitting on the big, long, soft chair. I sniffed him. He smelt okay. I climbed onto his legs, then onto his belly, then up onto his chest. I pushed my feets up and down a bit, then settled down into a loaf position. After some nice head strokes and ear scritches, I laid down properly on my hooman. Mmmmm — warms. I was enjoying the fuss, so I closed my eyes and had a mini-nap. All was right with the world...then my hooman moved 0.000000000000001 inches. I've never been so offended in my life. I meowed, jumped down off of him immediately, and ran into another room. Very unhappy with my hooman.

Quiet time...

Sometimes cats need catty time. Time on their own. Time away from hoomans or other cats. I needed some catty time today, so I went to find a good spot for this. I found one in my hooman's napping quarters. It was on the floor. It was quiet and dark. I curled up there to enjoy my catty time. A little while later, my hooman came into the room and said 'Oh there you are, Frankie!' I didn't want to be disturbed, but I didn't want to be rude either, so I blinked at him, then closed my eyes and pretended to nap.

Cosy

Today, the sky cried, So we all stayed inside. My hooman was sad, Like someone had died. So I snuggled on sofa, Tried to look cute, Gave a squeaky meow, And then went mute. Rolled onto my side, And showed off my belly, Got hooman to ignore, What was on telly. I lured him over, With my floof, Secured belly rubs, Of which I approved. I gave a slow blink, And soft little purrs, Thanking my hooman, For stroking my fur. I drifted off, I went for a nap, Had a weird dream; Something abstract. And when I awoke, Hooman still there. I like my hooman, We make a great pair.

Doing hard time

Image
It's been a tough day. I has been locked away. I has been put in catty jail. Then I was put in the hooman's vroom vroom. Then I was let out of catty jail, to see the catty doctor. She prodded me a bit and said I was a good boy. Then I was back in catty jail again. My hooman let me out a little while later. I demanded chicken treats. He gave them to me.

Questions

Image
My hooman had been gone for a while. He's just come in. I had lots of questions for him: Where have you been? What have you been doing? Why did you do that? Why didn't you stay here and pet me? How are you going to make this up to me? What's for dinner? When will it be served? Will I be getting treats before then? How many ear scritches will I get in the next 10 minutes? He said 'Wow, Frankie — you're chatty!' Then he gave me head scritches and some chicken Dreamies, so at least he sort of understands. I'll continue to wander around, chatting.

Somewhere even cooler

Image
I has a hot. This is not the weather in which to have lots of black floof. My hooman has the turned on the thing that blows air, which is nice, but I needed a cool, dark spot...cooler than behind the drawer (see my previous post). After lots of searching, I found it. It's in my hooman's napping quarters, in the corner, below the window. I has decided to curl up there for a bit. My hooman brought over my water bowl, is bringing me occasional snacks, and is giving me head scritches here and there. This will do - at least until the evening.
