Emergency Cleaning

Image
Sometimes, as a cat, things come up - things which need to be addressed. This can happen at the most unexpected of times. I was getting fuss from my hooman and it was nice — I was purring. But suddenly, I got an urge. Suddenly my side felt dirty. It needed a wash urgently. I moved away from my hooman's hand and immediately started licking my dirty side. Purring or not, my hooman could wait — this was very important. It took me a while, but I managed to get my side fur in order eventually. Then I turned around 7 times and flomped back down again.

The foot of 'nope'

I like attention from my hooman - I like fuss. I like getting ear scritches and belly rubs...but on my terms. I don't like getting them when I'm trying to relax after a nap, or when I've just washed myself. And I don't like it when my hooman goes all silly and sticks his face on my belly. If he does this I politely let him know that his attention is not wanted at that moment. I does this by pushing him away with one (or sometimes both) of my back feets. It's not a full bunny-kick — just a gentle 'No thanks, hooman'. He usually gets the message and leaves me alone. If he doesn't, then I bat him with my front feets.

Late night noms

I has breakfast. I has dinner. But sometimes I has an extra hungry. Sometimes I get hungry later on. Then I goes hunting for noms. If I find that my bowls are too low, I make this known to my hooman. I meow at him urgently and walk around by his feets. He usually then does the right thing and gives me noms. I then has a mini-feast. After that I go into his napping quarters and curl up exactly where he likes to lie down.

More sun

I had more sits on my favourite window sill today. I found another sunbeam. I like sunbeams — they're made of warms. I let the sunbeam shine on my fur. Happy. Then I licked my front feets, one at a time. My hooman came over. I meowed at him. Then I gave his hand a soft headbutt. I blinked lots. I like sunbeams.

Nope - Not Here

I likes to have a look around my home. I really likes it when I finds a new spot. This usually happens when my hooman opens something that's normally closed. That's what he did this time. He opened a drawer...and left it open. I had a curious. Why was it open? What was in it? What was behind it? I hopped in to take a look. Nothing particularly interesting. Then I hopped into the space behind it. Anything new? Any treats? Any catnip? Any meeces? I had a good look. I had lots of sniffs. I meowed at my hooman to say 'Nothing here?' I stayed there for a bit as it was dark and enclosed - like a nice cardboard box. Then I hopped back out again - bored. I meowed my annoyance at my hooman.

Millions of cuddles

Image
I has a lazy. I has a flomp, in my hooman's napping quarters. Mainly, I'm in a classic loaf position. And I'm practicing looking cute. It's working. Every 4.7 minutes my hooman comes into the room, flomps onto the bed next to me, does a 'Mwah!' on my head...then gives me cuddles. I always likes cuddles, as he's made of warms. Along with the cuddles, he gives me face smooshes too. I purr. I blink. He goes away for a bit. ...then he comes running back in to give me more cuddles. Silly creature. I'll stay here. It's very much to my advantage.

Squawk!

I likes to jump up onto high things. So, today, I thought I'd give my hooman a surprise and show him what it would be like to have a different animal. Today, I jumped onto his shoulders. Today, I pretended to be a parrot. I landed on one shoulder, let out a meow, and rubbed my face on his. Then I walked across to the other shoulder, let out another meow, and rubbed my face on his again. Then I stayed on the one shoulder - balanced. Occasionally I meowed some more, as I can't make bird noises. I haven't really got wings to flap, so I just cleaned my front feets for a bit. I stayed there for a while, so that my hooman got the full catty-parrot experience. Then I jumped down to eat some chicken biscuits.
