Shutting out the world

When I nap, I likes to nap properly.
It's an important part of a cat's life.
In fact, it's essential.

If I don't nap enough, I haven't got the energy left for zoomies, scratching soft chairs, or randomly biting my hooman's feet.

So, it's crucial to do all that's necessary for full nap catisfaction.

Sometimes my hooman will disturb my naps by giving me belly rubs, trying to stroke my face, or making that 'mwah!' noise on my head.

This is when I use my tried and tested move: I puts my paw (or paws) over my face and covers my eyes, to say 'no thank you, world - not today'.

Doing this blocks out the light and also blocks out my hooman's attempts to wake me.

It also makes me look incredibly cute... but then that causes problems, as my hooman tries to do the 'mwah!' thing even more.

It's a hard life, being a cat...

I has been with my new hooman for, I think, 60 catty days... which is about 10 hooman days (I tried to work this out by counting on my claws). I think I like my new hooman, but he is a bit strange. Sometimes he just calls me 'Frankie', sometimes he says 'Frankiiiiiiiiiiie', in a very high voice (I just blink at him if he does this), and sometimes he calls me 'Sir Francis Wilberforce Giuseppe Heung-Min Alejandro'... which makes me have a confused. He tries to stroke my ears, which I don't like, but I will let him touch to top of my head, my face, and my belly. I like exactly five belly rubs, then I will kick my back legs, as I want him to stop. I didn't like the food he was putting out for me at first, but he seems to have learnt from his mistake and now gives me new, yummier food. He has a strange obsession with my wees and poos. Catty Playground

I had a sleepy earlier, as I'd only had 14 hours of naps, so was tired. It had been a hard day. My hooman came into the room where he sleeps (it's my bed, but he seems to think he can sleep in it... I don't mind though, as he's made of warms) and gave me some head strokes and some belly rubs. This was nice. Then I heard a knocking sound. My hooman said 'stay there, Frankie', then closed the door to the sleeping room. I had a confused. Then I heard lots of different hooman voices. They were saying 'do you want it here, mate?' and 'Is over here good?' Very strange. There was lots of bumping and scraping... then there was no noise at all. My hooman opened the door to the sleeping room again, so I decided to explore. The big room was completely different. There were new objects everywhere. New objects to sniff. Important Cat Jobs

It's not easy being a cat. Aside from fitting in at least 16 hours of naps each day, I has many important cat jobs I must do. I has to wash my human, so he doesn't smell. I has to play with my hooman, so he doesn't get bored. I has to show him my fluffy belly, and purr when he rubs it, to keep him happy. I has to keep him warm, by sitting on him. I has to check that any boxes in my home are up to standard. I has to help him when he's changing the bedding in the napping room. I could keep going. It honestly feels like my list of jobs is never-ending. It's exhausting. But one of my main jobs, which is very important, is to be chief cupboard inspector. I has to make sure all cupboards are up to my standards, that they're clean, and that they contain at least one tin of toona. My hooman only partly passed the last cupboard inspections.
