Clean napping spot

Image
I likes it when my hooman does this. It's one of my favourite things. He changes the bedding in his napping quarter. He puts fresh, new bedding on, smoothes it all down - makes it all plump, soft, and squishy. And it smells good too. I has to test it out as soon as he does this, for super comfy naps. Also, although it smells nice, it no longer smells of me, so I has to add my scent to it...and my fur. I has spent all day on it - occasionally rolling over for belly rubs. Happy naps.

Lots of hooman

Image
My hooman seems to have been around a lot. He's been around today, all of yesterday, and all of the day before that. And I think he'll be around tomorrow, as he's normally put his stuff in his red bag by now if he's going to be out. I likes having my hooman around - lots of treats and scritches - but I'd quite like some me time too. I'd like to lick my bum in peace. I'd like to wander around and meow at the furniture. I'd like to rip things to shreds with my claws without being shouted at. I'd like to run from room to room, at random, without my hooman questioning this. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I think he should allow me some catty time though.

Scratchy bum...

Image
I has a grump-grump with my hooman. He's done something silly. He's bought new stuff for my poo and wee tray...but it's not the usual stuff. I noticed it when I went to use the tray. I sniffed it. It smelt different. Then I had to use my tray, so I sat in it. Not happy. This new stuff is very scratchy on my little kitty bum. It's also harder to dig into and spread everywhere. Not happy with my hooman. I has protested, but he hasn't listened...yet.

Look, Hooman! Flapping Thing!

Image
I has excitement! But also anxiety... The warm days are here. This means more flappy things. And there's a flappy thing in my home, whizzing around the air. I has tried following it with my eyes. I has chattered at it. I has alerted my hooman to it. But I has no wings, so I can't get to it. This is very frustrating. All my little catty muscles are tense. I just want to bite it...or swat it out of the air. Do something, hooman!

Feline side eye

Hmmmm...sometimes I don't fully trust my hooman. Sometimes I has to keep my eye out. Like today, when I sat at one end of the big, long, soft chair. My hooman sat back on it, which meant he was behind me. This means I can't tell what he's up to. Yes, he sometimes reaches out and gives head strokes, ear scritches, and chin tickles. But sometimes he also tries to tickle my fluffy belly, when I don't want him to...or bury his face in my fur...on give me a 'boop' on the nose. So, I has to be cautious and keep one eye looking back at him, just to check that he's behaving. If he sits still for a bit, then I can usually close my eyes and have a nap. Always good to be on guard though.

Handsome...apparently

Image
I was sitting around, next to my hooman today. It's important I keep him company, while he does 'werk'. It's also important that I'm within easy reach for ear scritches. He was giving me nice pats on the head, so I looked up at him, to say 'I like you, hooman'. And then he said 'Frankie, you're such a handsome little panther'. I has no idea what 'handsome' is, but he said it in his high, squeaky voice, and he only says good things in this voice. So I'm going to assume it's good to be 'handsome'. I carried on looking at him and managed to get some extra Dreamies, so that was good too.

Snack attack

Image
It's that time of year again. As the days warm up, and they're longer, so I has a hungry more and more often. This means I needs more snacks. The best way to get them is to simply wait by my food bowls, stare at my hooman, and let out sad meows...until he decides to do the right thing. I had to stare at my hooman for a long time before, but he did what was required in the end. I has had 3 snacks today. I'll see what tomorrow brings...

Night night

Image
Sometimes I likes to curl up on my own at night, on the big, long, comfy chair. Sometimes I likes to curl up at night in my hooman's napping quarters, near him - within reach of ear scritches. Sometimes I likes to sleep on my actual hooman, as he's soft and comfy, made of warms, and I get maximum attention. Last night I decided to sleep on him. He was laying in his napping quarters, on his back. I went over to him, pawed the bedding a few times, then stood on his chest. I meowed and he said 'Frankie, that's not very comfy'. I walked round in a circle three times, then lay down on his chest, facing him, with my front feets stretched out. I had a comfy. He said 'Hi mate', then gave me lots of strokes of the head and ear scritches. This made me purr. I did slow blinks at my hooman, then I started to drift off. Then my hooman started to drift off too as he made that loud snorting noise he makes when his eyes close. So we both fell asleep. At some point in the ni...

Hooman is late!

Image
I was patient. I sat and blinked. I meowed quietly at first. I padded my paws up and down, in the hooman's napping quarters. I turned round a few times. I meowed more urgently. I headbutted my hooman in the face. I screamed. Finally my hooman walked over to my bowl. Finally he opened a packet of noms. Dinner was served...late.

Crinkly comfort

Image
I has a bored before. I wandered around my home, looking to see what I could do. Then I got to my 2nd-favourite cupboard. It was open. I wandered in, had sniffs, looked around, and pawed things. I found the crinkly things with 'Asda' written all over them. I pawed at them and pulled lots of them out of the cupboard. Then I pulled some of the clear crinkly stuff out too. I smooshed it all together with my feets and made a little nest. It looked good. I sat on it for 30 seconds. Then I left it for my hooman to sort out.

'Hello' meow

Image
I likes sitting in different places around my home. I likes sitting and thinking...and having a wash. Sometimes my hooman comes over. This usually means I'm going to get some fuss. So I always greet him when comes to me — I always gives him my 'hello' meow. This is very different from my 'need food' meow or my 'attention, now!' meow. It's a soft meow, to let him know he's been spotted and that I've given him permission to approach. Head scritches usually follow a 'hello' meow. This is good.

Hooman returns

Image
My hooman went. He was there one morning, then he was gone. He was gone for a long time. I looked for him. I meowed. I checked the cupboards. But there was no sign of him. Luckily a female hooman came to visit me. She was very nice. After a quick sniff, I decided she was okay, so rolled over to show her my belly. She gave good belly rubs. She kept disappearing then coming back. Then, suddenly, my usual hooman appeared again. He came home very late at night. I purred, and jumped up to headbutt his hand. Then I slept in his napping quarters with him.
